Welcome

to the magnificent world of the guitar. This site is hopefully going to help to find your first steps on the guitar. The Problem is that if you buy your guitar with no experience then what next? The solution is what this site is going to give you in a very easy way to understand the first principles of becoming a guitarplayer. Remember that it is just a beginning. With the tools you learn you can put another step forward. One thing that is important is that you are being persistent to continue practising. You will notice that you will progress if you practice. Don´t practise to quickly. Take your time to check if your fingerposition is right. This is far more important then to try to practise with speed. The aim of this site is to get you familiar with some excercises so that you can play some classical and poptunes for the classical and electric guitar.

Buying a Guitar

Take your time to choose a guitar. First try to find out what kind of style you would like to play. For example if you like country music it is best to buy a western guitar. For blues you can buy a electrical guitar like Fender or Gibson. If you decide to buy a guitar don´t be too modest with the price. Ofcourse you can decide not to spent too much money for a guitar. The problem is that cheap models have an action (distance of the strings to the neck) which is too high. Like this your fingers have to press with more effort on the strings which in the beginning you really should avoid. Also the sound of these instruments can be very poor. Try to find a musicstore where they can give you good advice so that you can have a proper start.

Good luck with you practise!
